About the plant
Orman Manufacturing LLC is a manufacturer of wooden lamellae and birch frames for furniture. The new production facility was launched in July 2025.
For the construction of the new factory, equipment from China (Hanvy Plywood Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) was chosen as the technical equipment, as it proved to be the best in terms of price, quality, and maintenance capabilities. This allowed for the modernization of production and the minimization of manual labor.
In 2024, the company received awards in the regional competition “Entrepreneur of the Year in the Ulyanovsk Region” as the best business in the field of industrial production and “Trader of the Year” (export deliveries). The company is included in the TOP-10 exporters of the Ulyanovsk Region and the TOP-3 exporters in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Stages of production of bed slats and bed rails
01. Selection
Checking the wood for compliance with quality characteristics.
02. Boiling the log
When preparing for peeling, the lumber (birch wood) is soaked to make it elastic.
03. Barking
The bark is removed from the logs.
04. Peeling
Peeling – the removal of a thin layer (veneer) is carried out on special machines. The peeled log is fed to the peeling machine, peeled, and a strip of veneer (a thin slice of wood) is produced.
05. Cutting
The peeled veneer is cut to the required size. The veneer is trimmed to the desired dimensions and stacked tightly.
06. Drying
The peeled veneer is sorted by grade and undergoes a drying process in a drying chamber, and the sliced veneer is dried. At this stage, the veneer is inspected to determine its grade. Sheets of veneer are stacked, but already taking into account the grade.
07. Pressing
The process of leveling the surface of the sheets is carried out on special equipment that eliminates defects. The veneer is coated with an adhesive composition on both sides and placed under a press for further gluing at high temperatures.
08. Sawing
The veneer is sawn into parts on a machine.
09. Processing
The resulting products are polished and cut.
10. Sorting
At the final stage, the products are sorted by length, width, and thickness, as well as by wood color.
